When the weather allows it, there is nothing better than spending all day outside. However, every now and then, it can be hard to come up with new ideas on what to do. In case you are in need of some inspiration, this article is perfect for you. I am going to give you some of my favourite outdoor activities that guarantee a good time.
1. Climbing Park
This activity is more fun for children above the age of six since they are allowed to climb on more advanced parcours, but some climbing parks also offer parcours for younger children. Before you go, make sure to check the website of your climbing park to get more information on their opening hours, events, and conditions.
2. Picnic
One of the simplest yet fun activities. Depending on how big of a picnic you want to have, you can already prepare the snacks and drinks the day before and store them in the fridge overnight. A picnic every now and then can be a nice change in your daily routine and make the day more special.
3. Water Fight
Especially on warm days, water fights are perfect to cool down your body. It does not matter if the fight is with water pistols, water bombs, sprinklers, or simply a bucket of water; it is fun anyway.
4. Bike Tour
A bike tour can be a good way to combine exercise with fresh air and a change of scenery. In terms of the duration and route, you can adapt it to whatever fits your mood the best and individualize it.
5. Chalk Drawings
Chalk is perfect for decorating your driveway, patio, or sidewalk. The best part is that it washes off after a while, which helps you not run out of space for your drawings.
6. Inline Skating
If you have inline skates or roller blades at home, it gives you the perfect opportunity to cruise through your neighborhood and, at the same time, improve your skills at this kind of sport.
7. Camping in the backyard
This activity is for all camping lovers. Simply put up your tent or mattress in your backyard and spend a fun night in front of your house.
8. Mini Golf
Even if there are no mini golf courses close to you, you can set up mini golf on your own. All you need is a ball, a bat or a stick, and some objects you can use as obstacles. One variation of mini golf is football golf, for which, instead of a small ball, you use a soccer ball, and instead of bats, you use your feet.
9. Mud Party
A mud party can be thrown in any weather. If it just rained or is still raining outside, jackpot. You can use puddles and wet ground to build things out of the mud. If it is not raining, you can grab some bowls, add water to them, and start your party.
10. Paper Plane Race
The only equipment for this fun game is paper. There is a big variety of kinds of paper planes; try out a few different ones and make a race out of it. Whichever one flies the furthest or the highest wins.
I hope you enjoy these activities and have a good time!
